The Nike Air Max Scorpion showcased the brand’s ability to innovate in less-than-ideal situations. Produced during the COVID-19 pandemic, the collection brings to the masses the largest visible Air Max unit to date. The Flyknit top construction also adds to the innovation. With the Barbie movie set to hit theaters on July 21st, a new colorway of the Nike Air Max Scorpion is full of Barbie vibes.
Bright pink accents at the vamp. Not only does the shoe feature pink accents on the upper and sole, but the heel and tongue are also decorated with varying degrees of pink. The upper is also designed with a non-standard embroidered Flyknit top structure that composes the shoe’s wrap. Midfoot Nike logo filled with embroidered black. The insole is embellished with the brand’s star graphic. Portions of the upper have been opted for fuzzy updates, in keeping with the warmth of Mattel’s fictional character. Soft plush pink material on the laces, eyelets, lining, and tongue. The translucent pink outsole is accented with spray-painted stars. The Barbie color matching and the design of the shoe body are seamlessly integrated.
